Jay Wiseman is probably the leading educator on "risk management" -- both medical and legal -- in the BDSM community. This is a great starting place for anyone interested in the subject and is available at his website and from online booksellers. We keep a few around as "welcome gifts" for BDSM new-comers. Those we like. Those we don't get a book on restrictive self-bondage and fireplay.

Warning
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The practices described on this site are intrinsically hazardous and can cause serious injury or death -- even if done "right". All material is a description of personal practice, and not a recommendation, endorsement, or
professional assessment, of such practices in general, nor of specific techniques -- or anything else. Well, we do have some recommendations: Don't engage in these activities. If you do engage, learn and use the best safety practices you can.  Think things through.  Never do these things alone.
